SCUBA CERTIFICATIONS
OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION:
Open Water Certification is four days and five dives.
The first day requires instruction in video form
outlining the basics of SCUBA diving. From there, the
days get progressively more interesting as you get
into the water to practice your underwater skills such
as clearing your mask underwater, emergency
regulator retrieval, buoyancy control and other skills
necessary to master SCUBA diving effectively. From
day two, you get both classroom and in-water
instruction daily and that is when the real fun begins.
Each day you progress to deeper water until on your
fourth day and fifth check-out dive, you should be
lounging around enjoying the view 50 feet below sea
level. Enjoy!!
ADVANCED OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION:
Once you have mastered Open Water, you are now
in a position to become an Advanced Diver by
mastering a few specialized dives. On Caye Caulker,
these dives would consist of a Navigation Dive, a
Naturalist Dive, a Deep Dive, a Multi-Level Dive and a
Drift Dive.
This course is done over two or three days, with
in-class instruction before each dive.
Enjoy your dives!!
RESCUE DIVER
The Rescue Diver Course is very intense, and
encompasses two days of solid, advanced in-water
rescue skills. This would include CPR techniques and
techniques for underwater and distressed diver
rescues. Very informative and necessary if you plan
to make SCUBA diving a regular part of your life.
DIVE MASTER
The Dive Master Course is two weeks long, and is very
intense and comprehensive, with hands-on practice,
in providing you instruction and experience in dealing
with groups of divers entrusted to your care as their
Dive Master.
